Contribution (First Project):
I would say that most suitable roles for me are recorder and reporter at once as I always like to record all the ideas, strategies and unsolvable issues that arise during the meeting and take them for thorough cogitation. I try to give the best suggestion that would solve each issue outright. For this project, I have contributed in designing the website page and recording the video of the board game demonstration. In addition, I was working on creating the board for our game and the idea of the board game itself.
Reflection of KRD subject:
Practice without theory is more valuable than a theory without practice. That is why I like the way Dr. Suzana teaches us. Usually, she will explain the topic and then ask to solve some problems related to that topic and submit the answers. For me, this method makes KRD quite enthralling and easy to understand. In addition, there are many topics that need to be recalled from past years which is also very useful.
Reflection of PSLP subject:
I always associate PSLP with HSE, but PSLP is more about formulas and calculations, which we never faced in HSE last semester. As a fan of math, I really enjoy this subject, especially those assignments at the end of the lectures. About Dr. Zul, he is very responsive and dedicated lecturer. Throughout the lectures I can see his diligence to assist every student in the class.
Reflection of CPDIC subject:
Truly, this is one of the toughest subjects till now. Dr. Abbas is teaching very well, he explains the topic clearly and accurately by balancing specific examples and statements of general principles. However, this subject requires students to recall some topics from previous years courses like ODE for instance, which makes it more difficult. Nevertheless, without hard work, nothing grows but weeds.
Reflection of the board game:
In my opinion, "CEO strategies" board game has a very extraordinary and at the same time spectacular concept. You must have a very good strategy and tactical skills in order to be the best in it. The idea of the game was inspired by another famous board game which is called "Power Grid". I read though the rules and regulations of this game and found it really tough to play, or maybe players need to have some experience to become experts in it. However, it was still very interesting. Our team decided to create something similar to "Power Grid", but with more easy and simple concept. It should be noted, that this game can be very beneficial in terms of obtaining some new knowledge related to KRD, CPDIC & PSLP. I hope, our classmates will have a ton of fun while playing it. Speaking about my groupmates, they are really awesome. Each of them did show his/her full responsibility and dedication to this project. With some of them I have never been in a group before, but I could easily get along with them. During the project, I have learnt some new skills, like how to use "Weebly", "Wix", "Disqus" softwares. On the whole, this project was very interesting and useful for me.
Reflection of the question posted for KRD subject:
For KRD questions there are different levels of difficulties. Some of them about definitions and derivation, which should not be so hard. However, some of them about calculations and analyzing which we consider as High Order Thinking questions and players will definitely need some time to answer them. Most of the questions are same with those we practice during lectures.
Reflection of the question posted for PSLP subject:
It seems to me that PSLP questions are more easy compared to other subjects. Here players have to deal mostly with calculations and long formulas. Again, have to say that most of the questions are similar to those that Dr. Zul gives us during lectures. Anyways, these questions should be really beneficial for players to get the idea of PSLP.
Reflection of the question posted for CPDIC subject:
Players will definitely have difficulties while solving CPDIC questions, cause the chapters are quite complicated and not so easy to understand. Even for us, to create questions from level 1 & 2 of bloom taxonomy was a big challenge. Eventually, by hard team working we managed to deal with this problem.
Suggestions:
Now it is almost half of the semester done and we have learnt so many things about KRD, CPDIC & PSLP. In order to strengthen new knowledge I suggest to have a field trip to any company or plant, so that students could relate their knowledge and grasp the whole picture. In addition, I would suggest lecturers to solve different types of questions during the class, so that students can easily understand the topic. On the whole, every lecturer is good in his own way and I feel contented for each subject.
