Full Name: Kirenraj S/O Doraiselvan ID: 17930 Date of Birth: 27 June 1994 Nationality: Malaysian Interesting Fact: 21 is my age, but I look younger. E-mail: [email protected] Contact: 016 - 4724024 |
Contribution (First Project):
Played a role in introducing this complete board game idea to this team. I was responsible on improvising while creating the complete rules and regulation to suit the need of this project. Besides, I was managing the mind mapping process of creating it on Prezi. I was also sort of giving in some new ideas to work upon to ensure we reach our goal. Practically, I was a sceptic in the team to maintain the momentum of the team.
Reflection of KRD subject:
Based on what I heard from my seniors, they scared me that this subject would be quite tough but to me, this subject was a little easier compared to CPDIC. During my first 2 weeks in class, I was pretty lost due to the high pace of Dr. Suzanna in giving instruction and teaching us. It was her responsibility to cover the syllabus at the same time considering if her class is ready to enjoy that pace. From then, I begin adapting myself to this subject and begin enjoying classes. This subject requires a lot of understanding on our previous learnt subjects such as Chemistry.
Reflection of PSLP subject:
Under the supervision of Dr. Zul, it has been going super great so far. He gives us plenty of exercise during classes which seems to clarify our understanding immediately in class. Safety is a favourite subject of mine as I always had interest in becoming a safety engineer, so PSLP and subject like HSE are crucial to me.
Reflection of CPDIC subject:
CPDIC is by far the toughest subject in this semester as you need lots of knowledge on Ordinal Differential Equation which was learnt 2 years ago. I was having a hard time recalling each of it. It is tough but a straight road never made a skilful driver, right? Dr. Abbas is a committed lecturer whom is willing to repeat what he has taught, but honestly at times I am quite lost as his materials don’t seem clear enough to read upon. Overall, an interesting subject that requires a lot of mathematical calculation.
Reflection of the board game:
This board game was an idea suggested by me after an intense homework on studying the original version of this game before working on the mechanism. This game was improvised from the original version, called the “Power Grid”. This board was initially super complex which requires a lot of thinking but most importantly strategy. However, in order to cater to the need of our assignment, the game has been improvised, but still requires a lot of strategies to be the successful CEO. Its great to work with people of various personalities as it builds my confidence in one way or another to be able to work with newer people out there. Besides, team work is the key point in this project succeeding.
Reflection of question posed for KRD in the board game:
The questions for KRD are very much relatable to the syllabus and High Order Thinking Skill. It was great to run through such questions as it triggers our mind on the answers where we worked on getting the answers.
Reflection of question posed for PSLP in the board game:
PSLP questions were the easiest to build upon. It did not take much time either and we worked on it within a short period of time only. However, PSLP questions requires a lot of calculation in this board game compared to CPDIC and KRD.
Reflection of question posed for CPDIC in the board game:
CPDIC questions were the hardest as obviously the subject was tough to understand. Building questions for this subject took real long time as it was challenging and it’s the whole point of this board game. Somehow, we team work played a crucial role as we worked in a team and pulled it off well.
Suggestions:
KRD and CPDIC requires a lot of practices due lots of varying formula. Tutorial classes at times are not enough, there we have to independent in searching for question to challenge ourselves.
The board game is awesome to me but involved lots of time as our board game is more to D.I.Y. Aside of creativity, but it challenged us a lot as a team and we managed to get over it. Suggestion is to overcome D.I.Y. but to work a little more smarter.
