Contribution (Second Project):
For this project, I have contributed in finding detailed information about the pyrolysis technology to convert biomass into bio oil. As my group mates had decided to choose pyrolysis technology as our topic for project 2, I’m responsible to search all the information that support pyrolysis as the best technology in handling biomass compare to others. I need to make sure that information such as reactions involved, researches and real life applications of pyrolysis technology is out standing among other technologies. Lastly, I also contributed in making concept map of CPDIC subject.
Reflection on Second Project:
From this project, I had exposed to a number of technological options available to make use of biomass as a renewable energy source. This helps broaden my knowledge towards pyrolysis technology and I believed that this project will help me a lot during my final year, especially when I do my final year project.
Reflection on KRD subject (Up to Week 13):
For lectures that handled by Mr. Tazli, I would say that his method of teaching is very interesting and eyes opening for me. I have never encounter lecturer that will give lesson via youtube video and it’s a very new way of interactive learning. I can listen to the video at my own pace and revisions seem easier with the aids. Online quiz is very beneficial too because answer and explanation was given after every question was answered. It indeed helped me to pick up what I don’t understand during lectures. I really love the new way of learning and I hope other lecturers will adapt this way of teaching too.
Reflection on PSLP subject (Up to Week 13):
This subject is all about safety and I understand that safety should be taken seriously in even the smallest detail to prevent accident from happening. Compare to HSE, this subject focus more on formula and calculations rather than theory. I enjoyed learning this subject from Dr. Zul because of his unique style of interactive learning and I hope that I will be able to score well in this subject during my final exam.
Reflection on CPDIC subject (Up to Week 13):
This subject is still by far the most complicated and challenging subject compare to others. It involves a lot of calculations and fundamental of process control. I tend to spend more time on doing revision and exercise to have a better understanding on it. For Madam Haslinda’s part, she is a dedicated lecturer and good in explaining this subject. The topics delivered by Madam Haslinda seem to be easier and understandable compare to those in the first half of semester. Maybe because these topics have involved things that I had seen in unit operation lab, such as sensor, control valve, transmitter etc. and this gives us a clearer picture about what I’m going to learn in class. Besides, exercises are given in class and the act of applying what I had learnt that day is really helpful for me to master this course.
